Region Skane Urban Lab Workshop 1
About the event
In September 2019, Region Skåne organised their first workshop held at Malmö’s unique maker space – STPLN. During the workshop, an amalgamation of participants from various backgrounds and professions worked together to identify the challenges of their stakeholders, followed by discussion, which aimed to offer solutions to these challenges.
Region Skane welcomed a range of participants to the workshop including; civil servants from local and regional level from the cultural, planning and enterprise/innovation sector. Others included; NGOs from the cultural and social innovation sector, regional and local cultural organisations and centres, as well as researchers from both Malmö and Lund universities, in the field of architecture and social innovation.
Outcomes
The main output from this workshop identified a set of challenges regarding the tension between the professional knowledge and expertise as well as the need for inclusive processes and co-creation. During the session, the participants also produced a list of success factors which highlighted their own experiences of working on previous projects and processes.
